Transformation through Self-Discovery

Welcome to my website.

After many years of an active career and much learning, I’m ready to share with you what I have discovered about personal change and transformation. I will start with one personal example out of many. For decades, “burnout” was something I experienced frequently. No matter what I was involved in, over time, the stress and fatigue from “overdoing” whatever I was doing would catch up, leaving me feeling numb and exhausted with little motivation to continue with the project at hand – no matter how worthy, promising or lucrative. Eventually, I began looking inside myself to understand why I continuously ended up in the same disturbing place. This began a decades-long journey to better understand myself and to seek sustainable solutions.

Along the way, I learned methods for identifying the unconscious, repeating patterns that energized my attitudes and actions, leading to my successes, failures, and harmful tendencies, such as overdoing to the point of burnout. These invaluable insights left me wanting to learn more about what makes me unique. The more I discovered, the stronger my desire became to know how to change my non-serving patterns. This search led to numerous practices I want to share with you in my workshops and coaching practice.

If you are curious to discover more about yourself, I would be privileged to serve as your guide in developing greater self-awareness. And, if along the way, you uncover patterns blocking you from being your best self, I will support you in applying practices aimed at altering those outcomes.

Cultural Patterns Assessment

I have worked professionally helping organizations to change and transform for over three decades. I began as a permanent employee managing Management and Leadership Development for the IBM Corporation Silicon Valley Software Development Laboratory in San Jose, California in the early 1990’s. After leaving IBM, I consulted with and taught members of corporations, non-profits, small businesses, churches, etc. on how to change and grow. I also directed a large-scale change transition program at a major Research University for several years during the early 2000’s. Shortly after this assignment, I began developing an assessment method inspired by the work of Dr. Carol Pearson, PhD after successfully completing her certification program. I have come to believe after serving multiple organizations with this tool that this method of measuring an organization’s culture is among the most effective approaches I have used.
